Know What’s on Your Ballot.

Election Day is about more than one race. Your ballot may include federal, state and local candidates, judges, and issues that directly affect your community. Taking a few minutes to review your sample ballot before you vote can help you know what to expect, learn about the races and issues you’ll be asked to decide, and walk into the voting booth prepared.

Because ballots vary depending on where you live, we’ve provided links to the official Board of Elections sample ballot information for each county in Ohio’s 14th Congressional District. Find your county below to get started.

Voting Tips

  1. Pre-download your ballot. Visit your county’s official sample ballot site before Election Day to see what will be on your ballot. If available, print a copy and make notes.
  2. Do your research. Look up the candidates and issues throughout your ballot — not just the races at the top.
  3. Bring your notes. Mark your choices, make notes, and bring them with you to the voting booth — it’s allowed and makes voting faster.
  4. Bring a valid ID. Ohio requires voters to present an accepted form of photo identification when voting in person. Accepted forms include a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID.
  5. Vote early if you can. Early voting runs Oct. 6 – Nov. 1 at your county board of elections.

Military & Overseas Voters (UOCAVA) ballots

Military and overseas voters have special voting procedures under UOCAVA. Ballots must be sent by mail or courier (not fax or email) to arrive by 7:30 p.m. Election Day. Because deadlines and ballot-return requirements may differ, check the official Ohio Secretary of State website or your County Board of Elections for instructions and ballot-tracking information.
